Online Internet Demonstration of Remote Web Based And Wireless Process Control

TRACE MODE WebSCADA online demo project enables remote web and mobile access to the process (a boiler) controlled by the DocRTM+ via TRACE MODE Data Center from any PC connected to Internet, or from mobile phones (TRACE MODE SCADA Mobile). Try now the web based control technology by viewing real-time data on animated symbolic circuits and trends, sending commands, or generating and viewing TRACE MODE Documentation Server reports.

WebSCADA is not only about process monitoring – this demo project also provides control capabilities. One can use Control screen to change temperature and pressure regulator settings. By generating process reports using the operator command, you can have all process information for the last five minutes at your fingertips.

Simply use your mobile phone to observe the main process parameters on graphic screens and view reports.

Online Demo Connection via Browser

To access to TRACE MODE WebSCADA via browser, a PC connected to Internet is required. We recommend an Internet connection offering a speed of at least 256 Kbod. Various operating systems are supported, including Linux, Windows Vista, QNX, UNIX, Windows XP, etc.

Java support should be installed in browser [by default, the last versions of Internet Explorer are not Java-enabled]. If your browser is not Java-enabled, please download and install virtual Java machine from SUN Microsystems web-site.

Now, you should go to TRACE MODE Data Center address in Internet:

Java-applet and TRACE MODE project will download automatically. To start the project in your applet, press the running man button twice (see picture).
You can generate the Documentation Server report by pressing Report button on Control screen.

Users of TRACE MODE 6 Development System Professional can browse through the project contents. All you need to do is download PRJ file of the project from the Support section.

SCADA Mobile Demonstration: Connection to TRACE MODE Online Demo Using Mobile Phone

To launch the demo project on your mobile phone, please do the following:

download TRACE MODE SCADA Mobile Java-MIDlet for NOKIA phones (two zipped files) from our site free of charge.
upload the Java-MIDlet onto your phone and install it (see Installing Java Applications section in your mobile phone User Guide).
upload the DBB file of the TRACE MODE project for a mobile phone and load it, e.g. onto the phone memory card.

CAUTION! This project has been optimised to run under 240x320 display resolution (Nokia E50, Nokia N80). For any phones with other display resolution, the project requires modification in TRACE MODE Development System.

Now, run TRACE MODE SCADA Mobile MIDlet from Installed folder, open Functions section and select Open..., then provide a path to DBB file and enable read access to user data in the TRACE MODE application.
After downloading the node file, a graphic panel displays. Now, use Functions section to select Run and choose access point to complete the process.
To stop viewing, press Stop button.

Now, you are ready to control and monitor your process via your phone display. Good luck!
