Modbus. Connecting I/O Devices to TRACE MODE SCADA/HMI Using MODBUS Protocol
Connecting I/O Devices to TRACE MODE SCADA/HMI Using MODBUS Protocol
TRACE MODE 6 SCADA/HMI software has free built-in drivers for popular Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP protocols, which make it possible connecting a lot of industrial PLC and IO devices of different kind, using the following interfaces:
Ethernet;
RS 232/485;
modem;
GSM-modem.
The IO drivers are available free for both professional and basic versions of TRACE MODE 6. The free drivers support standard Modbus protocols, as required by www.modbus.org, and at the same time they support several Modbus extensions and some popular Modbus-like protocols. Note, there are many PLC claimed by manufacturers to be Modbus compliant, but which are not in fact fully compliant to the requirements of The Modbus Organization. In case if you fail to connect TRACE MODE to a Modbus device, ask your questions at the TRACE MODE forum http://forum.tracemode.com/. It's very likely that an additional driver has to be developped.
We offer you several training videos, covering PLC connectivity to TRACE MODE SCADA/HMI using Модбас RTU and TCP protocols.
